my day out

Since my friend babette's leaving in a few days' time, we decided to see each other one last time. i was actually going to back out had it not been for the fact that tubbyboy was going to be in mandaluyong and without a ride home (he finally decided to have his new baby re-upholstered and spruced up). so, lunchtime found me and babette at sumosam in edsa shangri-la. food was so-so, not as good as the photos hyped them up to be, at least as far as my beef gyudon order was concerned. the salmon sashimi and california maki were actually quite good. according to babette, her beef teppan was kinda tough.

we chatted about stuff, bought ourselves some aquazorb towels, went around the mall a bit... until it was time to go. then it was finally time to say goodbye =(

met up with tub at the car shop and we drove over to Visual Creations in QC so I could have my defective album replaced. tub didn't want to come into the store, so I just gave the store a once over, picked out a couple of stuff that caught my eye and that was it. thanks for the goodies, tub!! *wink, wink!*

inside BF, tub asked if i wanted to stop over the shawarma snack center, reputed to have one of the better tasting shawarmas this side of town. of course i said yes as i was curious about how exactly good it was. i went for a special order and much to my dismay, my beef shawarma was much too oily. ugh! good thing tubbyboy was hungry enough to wolf down one and a half orders =)
