scrapping with friends

I got a text message from Lee sometime last week asking me if i wanted to come along and scrap with them at Pia's house (in Dasma, Cavite) today. did i? hmmm. interesting. i wasn't so keen on going because i knew i am usually more productive whenever i set my mind to scrapping at home, where everything's within easy reach; besides, i always find it so challenging to scrap anywhere else because i have difficulty deciding on what to bring. ack! then again, of course i felt flattered that i was even asked to go. i thought maybe it would be fun to scrap with a small group for a change. that was it! i finally decided to go. if i wasn't able to scrap anything, then maybe i won't go the next time around, but for this time, at least i'd be able to say, i went.

i asked Lee where she was going to meet up with the other girls and she said they planned on doing so at MOA! ACK!!!!! i figured i was better off heading straight to cavite on my own, but Lee suggested maybe it was better if we carpooled using her van; and we tried to brainstorm on a more favorable meeting place at least as far as i was concerned! (it was also around this time I discovered that there was a change in destination. we were now going to Alby's in Kawit, instead!) Lee prevailed.



for some strange reason, i got up at around 4am, and since I fell asleep on packing up last night, i decided to do so right away. I looked at possible sketches for the LOs I planned to work on today and proceeded to pick out papers and stuff. at the last minute, i decided to pre-cut my papers so that i'd only be gluing them down once we started scrapping later today.

after hearing mass at 730AM, i thought i was going to have some time left over to do the treadmill. alas! i was foiled again! it was almost time when i scrambled out the door! we were supposed to meet up at McDonald's Las Pinas between 10 and 1030, and yes! i was running late! i was speeding up just behind a speeding truck that i kinda had very, very little room to escape when the truck suddenly jerked to a stop! ohboy! a steel metal protruding from somewhere at the truck's tail-end grazed my hood! ohboy! the truck had hit a couple of boys. luckily, they only got knocked down, and not knocked out!! i decided not to linger as i didn't think the truck was going to do something about my hood. i'll just have to bear out whatever tubbyboy's gonna say about this!

we finally got to Alby's place (lovely, lovely home indeed) a little past 11 and we set our stuff down and got comfortable ;) Pia joined us not long after. lunch was yummy! after a short chit-chat session, we set out to scrap! we were so engrossed in the chicka, for a moment there we forgot all about making pages, hahaha!!!

oh joy! as i declared, i was able to complete 4 pages and then some (i just need to add a photo, a title, and journaling to the page i intend to submit for the KAYA challenge for this month. i even got to finish up tubbyboy's mini!

we ended up having dinner at Alby's place as well and eventually packed up at around 930PM. Thank you, Alby and Ariel, for your hospitality! and thanks for the ride, Lee! Had fun chatting with you, Nina and Cookie as well! Whoa, and thanks for the special prize, Nina! that was really quick! and i love it!!
