had breakfast buffet at the hotel - not too shabby.
yup, there were several people who got into the picture. lol!mass wasn't until 10AM so we soaked in a bit of culture first, haha! of course, we only stayed outdoors. along Queen Street, there were several churches and the Singapore Art Museum.
according to wikipedia, Queen Street is one of the oldest streets in Singapore and once had a very strong Eurasian presence. no wonder i loved the architecture so.here i am again with Tuna's MIL.

Heard mass at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd, located along Bras Basah Road. wow! the mass was very impressive and the choir, amazing! if i hadn't been watching my budget, I'd have gone ahead and bought a CD being offered for sale, just after the mass.
Itinerary for the day was for us to visit the Bugis Village, along Bugis Street, of course! haha!

When we have had enough of the Bugis Village, we headed back to the hotel, but not before stopping for lunch. Decided on the fast food at the basement of Sim Lim Square. Had Chicken Cutlet Hor Fun for lunch. It tasted OK and price was pretty reasonable by Singapore standards. S$3.50 - not bad, lah?
At 2PM, Tuna and I met up with Lody and Joy at the Takashimaya mall and visited several stores on our hit list - Geox, Lacoste, Esprit, The Gap, Borders, Charles and Keith, Marks & Spencer, Apple, etcetera. Had to cross over to several malls while doing so - we did the Wisma Atria and the Wheelock Place. Also discovered the Kinokuniya bookstore today. Loved it, like I do most bookstores :)
a quick stop at the Bengawan Solo booth to pick up some yummy Hazelnut cookies for my mum.
Couldn't spend the rest of the day shopping, Tuna and I had to pick up her MIL to head over to the Night Safari. We were supposed to take a package tour at S$49 per pax, but Lody suggested we take a cab and just get our own tickets from the counter. Came out cheaper too! ;)
With the tram option, we each had to pay only S$32. of course, we had to pay the cab fares too, but I think we still spent less per person, all around.
At 7PM, we went to see a Tribal Dance Performance and soon after, we hit the trams.

Halfway through the tour, we got off at the East Lodge to walk around the Leopard Trail... we had some misadventures and consequently tired ourselves out! Yep, our guide Tuna accidentally took us to the main walking trail and we ended up being 3 minutes away from the Main Entrance. LOL! We couldn't very well go back into the tram via that route as that would mean we would have to redo the first half of the tour... so, yep! we had to walk our way back to the East Lodge. major work-out there, huh?

Decided to go for the last Creatures of the Night show for the evening and we ended up having a very late dinner at Bongo Burgers. Opted for chicken burger - it tasted blah, not to mention, it gave me a sore throat as I may have swallowed a chicken bone. Definitely not worth the S$12.50 I paid for it. To make up for dinner, I talked Tuna into having ice cream cones from Ben & Jerry's :D I definitely enjoyed the tour though!
Just before leaving the Night Safari, we just had to to have more photos. haha!
We got back to the hotel a little before 12MN, but I had to pack up most of my stuff as we were checking out after breakfast the next day and forced myself to doze off close to 3AM, methinks.
