meeting at 8 with co-parent coordinators at the son's school to talk about the upcoming father-son camping activity. that was productive. chat with mr saroca, the son's school mentor. that was productive too. learned that the son is generally doing quite well in school, not counting the fact that he sometimes needs to learn to wait for his turn before speaking up or answering a question. not a major problem there, as far as i'm concerned. lol. hope i'm not too biased. the son just needs to work on his penmanship skills. resolved to have him meet with mr saroca every wednesday, after class, just so he can have some practice writing. dropped by the son's classroom just to check on him :) he asked if i was going to pick him up after. unfortunately, i have had to say no :(
then i hied off to the site to check on some progress as well as to turn over some funds to the contractor. seem to be on a hump with regard to some structural details. *sigh* i wonder when all of this will end so we can finally make the move.
spending time with G when i got back home. one of the very rare times we get to stay together on a monday morning. doing nothing. fun!
trying to make sense of school papers i need to be checking, but i just couldn't seem to make it work. bah! the internet world beckons. yes. paperwork. never ends. ever.
welcoming the boy home. it's always fun to see him relating tidbits about how his school day went.
because of the way he speaks (a tad too fast that he seems to be eating his words), I couldn't make out what exactly he was saying. LOL! methinks he was explaining why he still had this water jug around his neck as he made his way to Ate Nikki's bedroom to change into house clothes. ah. this boy never fails to put a smilie on my face.
looking forward to an after-dinner thing at The Pen. apparently, they were having a 70s anniversary promo. schublig, pancit luglug and halo-halo at their 70s rate. dirt cheap. yay!
either i idled away too long in front of the kids' computer beating my previous high score on bookworm, heh! or G and I spent too much time looking for fixtures and such at Dexterton GB5. either way, we kinda got locked out of the deal. there was just too long a queue by the hotel driveway. darnitall. the only saving grace of that little expedition are the last 2 installments i needed to complete my sookie stackhouse collection. what is it about vampires that keeps drawing me in, no matter my resistance? hm. but i digress. that's a story for another day.
OK. Since we didn't manage to make it in time for the Pen promo, G&I, plus mom and my brother don, ended up having very late dinner at redkimono at the fort. I wasn't really that hungry, so I just had a little bit of this and that and that was that. The tempura was really ho-hum.
G decided to play some cards while I worked on my pile of papers. Ended up going home at around 4am but at least we were both happy. G snagged a pot and i got my paperwork done, thank you.
